• Fostering the development of young people through such organizations as the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts, the 4-H Club, Parent Teachers Associations, and Little League Baseball
• Fighting for and helping to publicize the rights and needs of adoptive parents and adopted children
• Helping to protect women with the establishment and stewardship of such organizations as VIBES (Victims Information Bureau)
• Fostering the growth and effectiveness in education by working closely with local public and private schools as well as colleges and universities
